KBA Academy (Grades 3-8)

The KBA Academy Program is designed for motivated players who want to develop their skills in a competitive, team-focused environment. With improved gym access and intentional player-to-coach ratios, KBA is creating a stronger developmental experience centered on fundamentals, basketball IQ and long-term player growth.
Practices are designed to be competitive, high-energy and development focused, with an emphasis on fundamental skill work, 5-on-5 team concepts and man-to-man defensive principles. Team structures are tailored by grade level and player development needs to create the best possible training environment for each athlete.
KBA Academy is built for players who are eager to improve, compete and commit to becoming better basketball players. The program also creates opportunities for advanced player pathways, including playing with additional age groups and other competitive club experiences.

Jr. Academy (Grades 1-2)
GRADES 1-2 | NOV-DEC
KBA Junior Academy is returning for another season of fun and development for 1st and 2nd grade athletes. This 6-week program, held during November and December, features two training sessions each week focused on building confidence, fundamentals and a love for the game.
Players will learn age-appropriate basketball skills through engaging drills, small-sided games and teamwork-focused activities designed specifically for young athletes. Basketball sizes and hoop heights are modified to support proper technique and skill development based on each player’s strength and ability level.
All participants will order their own KBA reversible jersey through Mr. B’s Tees.

Coaching Development
KBA is committed to supporting coach development and creating a positive, growth-focused environment for every athlete. We believe great coaching helps players build confidence, skills and a lifelong love for basketball, while recognizing that every athlete develops at their own pace. To support our coaches, KBA provides coaching clinics, practice resources, player development plans, mentorship opportunities and access to professional basketball training experiences. Active lead coaches are also required to complete USA Basketball Gold Licensure, fully paid for by KBA.
